Sermorelin
Sermorelin is a synthetic 29-amino-acid peptide corresponding to GHRH(1–29), the biologically active fragment of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is the shortest part of the GHRH molecule that retains full receptor activity, which is why laboratories use it as a reference GHRH agonist. PeptXBio supplies it as a lyophilised powder, ready for in vitro research.
Quality and purity
≥99% purity (HPLC). High-grade laboratory lyophilised powder, analytically verified and consistently reproducible between batches so that research conditions remain stable.

Why it is studied
In research models, sermorelin is studied as a selective GHRH receptor (GHRH-R) agonist. This receptor belongs to the class B family of G protein-coupled receptors, and its activation in cell models is linked to the adenylate cyclase pathway and to cAMP signalling research. In in vitro cultures of pituitary somatotrophs, sermorelin is used as a tool for analysing receptor binding, signal transduction kinetics and GHRH-R pharmacology. The studies are limited to cellular and laboratory systems. This information is provided for research context only and is not an instruction for use.
Reconstitution
In the laboratory, the lyophilised powder is dissolved in bacteriostatic water, letting the solvent run slowly down the side of the vial. The vial is swirled gently until the powder has fully dissolved – do not shake, so that the peptide chain is not damaged. The prepared concentrate is kept cold under the conditions of the research protocol.
What you get

Frequently asked questions
Sermorelin is a synthetic 29-amino-acid peptide corresponding to GHRH(1–29), the biologically active fragment of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is the shortest part of the GHRH molecule that retains full receptor activity, which is why laboratories use it as a reference GHRH agonist. In research models, sermorelin acts as a selective GHRH receptor (GHRH-R) agonist. This receptor belongs to the class B family of G protein-coupled receptors, and its activation in cell models is linked to the Gs protein, adenylate cyclase and cAMP signalling pathway. This information is provided for research context only.
In in vitro systems, sermorelin is used as a tool for analysing GHRH receptor pharmacology. In cultures of pituitary somatotrophs and GHRH-R-expressing cell models, it is used to study receptor binding, Gs protein coupling, adenylate cyclase activation and the kinetics of intracellular cAMP accumulation, as well as the downstream PKA signalling cascade. Such models make it possible to characterise concentration–response relationships and signal transduction dynamics. All studies are limited to cellular and laboratory systems.
The product is supplied as a high-grade laboratory lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder. Each vial contains 10 mg of sermorelin (GHRH 1–29), purity ≥99% (HPLC). Before use in the laboratory, the powder is reconstituted in bacteriostatic water, which is sold separately. The solvent is run slowly down the side of the vial, and the vial is swirled gently until the powder has fully dissolved – it is not shaken, so that the peptide chain is not damaged.
Keep the unopened vial of dry powder in a refrigerator at +2 to +8 °C, protected from light. For longer storage, keeping it in a freezer at −20 °C is recommended. Keep the reconstituted solution (dissolved in bacteriostatic water) refrigerated and use it within the time set out in your research protocol. Avoid repeated thaw–freeze cycles and direct light to keep research conditions stable.
In in vitro research models, sermorelin, as a GHRH agonist, is often compared and combined with growth hormone-releasing peptides (GHRP-class compounds, e.g. GHRP-6 or GHRP-2) to study how the interplay of different receptor pathways affects cell signalling. Such experimental systems compare the GHRH-R and ghrelin/GHS-R receptor activation pathways. Such combinations are used only at the level of cell and laboratory models; no dosing or usage protocols are given.
Absolutely not. This product is sold exclusively for laboratory research and scientific experiments. It is not intended for human or animal consumption and is not a medicine, dietary supplement or cosmetic product.
